God is good.
He is not against people; on the contrary He loved us so much He sent His son Jesus to the world to let us know how much. (John 3:16) When Jesus came into our world two thousand years ago, He came with good news (Luke 4:18) He forgave sins, healed people of every kind of sickness and disease. He was generous to the poor and sought to lift them out of their poverty. We believe He hasn’t changed (Hebrews 13:8) He is still transforming lives and He does it through His people – The Church.
Jesus is alive.
He wasn’t a martyr for a cause; He died a sacrificial death to pay the price for our sin and then He rose from the grave so that we can share in His eternal life (1 John 4:19). It is by believing in Jesus and accepting Him as our saviour and our King that we can experience this new life.
We can know God personally.
Christianity is not about religion; it’s about having a real relationship with God. He wants us to know Him and experience His goodness in every area of life. Jesus said that He came to give us life to the full (John 10:10). That means He wants to help us in our family, our relationships, our jobs and our school or college. (John 14:15-20)
The Bible is His word to us and it is relevant today.
The Bible is not just a book of stories with a moral. It is God’s words given to men and women (2 Timothy 3:16). It let’s us know how God thinks and instructs us how to live our lives successfully. We have found that as we believe and apply the truths of God’s word to our lives then amazing changes take place.
